In a world where people are constantly jumping on the latest food fads and diets, you cant' help but ask, what does it really mean to be HEALTHY?
Being 'healthy' is not a figure, size or shape (so please Nigerian Aunties stop with the body shaming), being healthy is simply a 'State' (and I am not referring to Delta or Lagos State either), it is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. In order to achieve a true state of health, we would have to be conscious of what we take into our body in form of foods and drinks. Food is essential for every living being but when taken in the wrong proportion or composition, it could become disastrous to the human body.

The concept behind Yomama's Kitchen is to take the various kinds of Nigerian meals as well as the contemporary snacks we grew up eating from our Mother's kitchen and to redefine them into deliciously healthier versions without losing its unique flavour. The focus of this is not on calorie counting or any dietary fad but on recreating Nigerian dishes in order to make them more palatable without having to jeopardize our health in the process. Apart from the physical aspect of health that would be provided through the exquisite recipes, Yomama's Kitchen would also periodically touch on various ways to attain mental and social well-being especially in the present day Nigerian society.

Join me as we delve into the journey of exploring contemporary Nigerian dishes and and redefining them into impeccable culinary master pieces that would be suitable for you and your family.
