Watermelon and Pineapple Fruit Mix (KFM)

Welcome to another wonderful recipe from Yomama's Kitchen, today we would be creating a fresh sweet bowl of Watermelon and Pineapple fruit mix but before we proceed I am sure you would be wondering what KFM means.
KFM simply means Kid Friendly Meals, its a segment focused on making meals appealing to children by creating fun and creative dishes that the little ones would love.

For this recipe the key is to keep it fun, creative and exciting so as to ensure the full enjoyment of the dish. A fruit mix usually serves as an appetizer or a dessert, however if you choose to make it a main dish it is important to slightly increase the portion size. Fun Health Facts about Yomama's Watermelon and Pineapple Fruit Mix

• Pineapple contains a rare enzyme called bromelain which reduces the inflammation of the joints and muscles, thus being a great fruit for fighting arthritis.
• The bromelain enzyme found in Pineapple also helps combat cough and cold.
• Watermelon is made up of 92% water which helps in keeping you hydrated while giving your skin an effortless glow.
• Watermelon contains a type of carotenoid known as Lycopene which helps prevent age-related macular degeneration (AMD) which is a common eye problem that can cause blindness in older adults.

INGREDIENTS

• 1/2 Pineapple (medium size)
• Watermelon (a large slice)
• A small slice of Pawpaw
• 1 Orange
• Sprinkles (to keep the kids excited)

Serves 3

TIME TO MIX

1) Wash all the fruits

2) Cut the fruits into your desired shapes and put in a fruit bowl (since this is a KFM it is important to use creative bowls or plates in order to keep the children interested)

3) Slice the orange into two halves and squeeze the orange juice over the fruit bowl.

4) Put in the refrigerator for about 10-15mins.

5) Serve chilled
